What is Dysport?

Dr. Katayoun Motlagh and her team offer Palmdale, CA, women and men numerous nonsurgical alternatives for rejuvenating the skin. Dysport is an injectable treatment that acts similarly to BOTOX® to reduce and soften dynamic lines and wrinkles throughout the face. Dynamic wrinkles are caused by repetitive facial expressions and movements (like laughing, smiling, and frowning) that, over time, make the muscles of the face tight. This causes the skin over the muscle to have a grooved line that can be seen even when the face is resting. Dysport is uniquely designed to treat the most common dynamic wrinkles: the frown lines that show up as vertical lines between the eyebrows. It temporarily softens the treated muscle — so the line is smooth but with natural-looking results that don't "freeze" your face. Dysport for Forehead Lines

Are you concerned about those persistent forehead lines that seem to become more noticeable as we age? These unwelcome guests, often referred to as forehead wrinkles or 'surprise lines,' can add years to your appearance. But worry not, there are effective solutions available to address this issue.

If you've started noticing these lines in your late 20s or early 30s, it's a smart move to explore preventative treatment options. The key is not to delay addressing forehead wrinkles because the longer you wait, the harder it can be to achieve the best results.

Horizontal forehead lines can be attributed to genetic aging, but factors like sun damage or smoking can exacerbate the problem, leading to deeper and more stubborn creases. Our anti-aging injectables, including Dysport, can help reduce the appearance of forehead wrinkles, although complete removal may not always be possible.

When you consult with our experts, they may recommend a personalized treatment plan, which could include Dysport and complementary treatments such as dermal fillers, micro-needling, Ultherapy, or Thermage. To delve deeper into the world of forehead wrinkle removal with Dysport, visit our dedicated blog, where we extensively discuss causes, treatment options, and more. Discover valuable insights into the stages of these common wrinkles in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, and beyond by exploring our preventative Dysport blog.

Don't let forehead lines dictate your age; take control with Dysport and our expert guidance. Say goodbye to those 'surprise lines' and hello to a rejuvenated, youthful appearance.

Hooded Eye Dysport Eyebrow Lift

Discover the Art of Eyebrow Transformation: Hooded Eyes, Dysport, and the Brow Lift

Unlock the secret to achieving your desired eyebrow shape with an advanced technique known as the "chemical brow lift" or sometimes referred to as the "DYSPORT® facelift." This transformative procedure, expertly administered by our skilled practitioners, involves precisely placed injections on the upper face to rejuvenate and elevate the eye area while addressing droopy lids.

In our youth, the brow sits prominently above the eye, providing strong support and an elevated appearance. However, the aging process can lead to a drooping brow, resulting in the dreaded "hooded" look and horizontal folds in the surrounding skin.

Enter Dysport, the trusted ally in the battle against hooded eyes. Botulinum Toxin Injections, like Dysport, offer a highly effective solution to lift and define the eyebrows, restoring your youthful allure. It's worth noting that a delicate touch is essential when using this treatment in the brow area to ensure a natural look without the "overarched" or "surprised" appearance.

In today's beauty landscape, a natural and youthful "boy brow" is the trend, as seen on celebrities like Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson. However, your face is unique, and the precise placement of injectable treatments and the overall result will be tailored to your individual goals during your consultation with our experienced practitioner.

Say goodbye to hooded eyes and hello to a refreshed, lifted brow that enhances your natural beauty. Discover the possibilities with Dysport and our expert guidance.

How does Dysport work?

Dysport injections are administered in one of our procedure rooms following your consultation, lasting around 15 – 30 minutes. A local anesthetic or numbing cream is usually not needed since the injections are made using a fine-gauge needle that creates minimal pain, but it can be requested. The treatment area will be cleaned, and five well-placed injections will be administered across the brow, followed by a cold compress to limit bruising and swelling. After your treatment at Kat Motlagh's Health Clinics, you may resume normal tasks, but you should avoid taxing activities for at least a day.

After a Dysport session, you may see slight redness and swelling near the injected area, but this should dissipate on its own within a few days. You should sleep propped up the night of your appointment and may want to apply a cold compress if needed. Improvements are usually noticeable in 1 – 3 days as the severity of your dynamic wrinkles is reduced for a softer, smoother appearance. Your results typically remain for about 3 – 4 months, and follow-up treatments can be performed at Kat Motlagh's Health Clinics in Palmdale, CA, to maintain your results.
