What is  Arthritis ?

Arthritis involves inflammation of the joints, leading to pain and stiffness. The most common type is osteoarthritis, which can be extremely painful and debilitating.

Symptoms of arthritis may include:

Swelling: Inflammation in the joints can lead to noticeable swelling.

Pain: A persistent ache in the affected joints.

Stiffness: Difficulty in moving the joints, especially after waking up or after

prolonged inactivity.

Decreased Range of Motion: Reduced ability to move the joints freely.

What is  Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a condition where bones become weak and brittle due to a loss of bone density. This makes them more susceptible to fractures.

Symptoms of osteoporosis include:

Back Pain: Pain caused by fractures or collapsed vertebrae.

Stooped Posture: A hunched or stooped posture due to bone loss.

Loss of Height: Gradual loss of height over time.

Fractures: Bones that fracture easily from minor bumps or falls.

Treatment Options

Joint Injections: A non-invasive option that can help reduce pain and increase mobility. Two primary types of injections are:

Corticosteroid Injections: These are powerful anti-inflammatory medications injected directly into the joint to reduce inflammation and pain.

Hyaluronic Acid Injections: These gel injections provide lubrication and shock absorption to the joints, which can help alleviate pain and improve mobility.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy: In some cases, PRP therapy may be beneficial. This involves injecting a concentration of the patient’s own platelets to promote healing in the joint.
